Adirondacks Airbnb Cabin, NY
If you are ever in the Adirondacks and need a tranquil cabin to stay, this one is surely a must!
The week we spent in Maine was a rainy one indeed. We camped four nights and on our last day, we decided to rent an Airbnb last minute to escape the weather. On that drizzling day we explored parts of Portland, Maine, before driving five hours to New York State. As we drove, the rain only got worse. Passing through the Green Mountains in New Hampshire with mountains towering us, the rain pelted the windshield vigorously. When we finally made it to our destination, we were more than thrilled to have a dry place to crash for the night. This tiny cabin tucked away amongst the brush was not only our saving grace, but a surely magical place.
We arrived in pitch darkness and our sleepy eyes needed rest, so we quickly grabbed all of our luggage and headed inside. We loved how the entire interior was bear themed, and filled with absolutely everything we needed during our stay, and then some.
The next morning we were pleased to see this place in daylight, grab some breakfast and explore the grounds a little.
When we woke, we stopped at this cute place called the Red Brick Cafe. This place had great coffee, food and it seemed like a popular stop among locals. Unfortunately from what we’ve noticed, it’s been recently posted as, “Temporary Closed.”
After we were finished with our delicious breakfast, there was a cabin waiting for us to explore, so we had to get back.
The plant life was super lush this time of year with all the rain. As we walked barefoot through the grounds, the abundance of ferns brushed past our shins, we found a creek just beyond the cabin. Joey and I always have a great time by creeks, because while Joey stacks rocks or creates paths amongst the water, i’m scavenging for rocks and finding tiny friends that exist in this habitat.
The porch of the cabin gave us the urge to grab our guitars and play some music, so that’s exactly what we did! Joey and I were still getting to know each other, so this was the first time we played with such unity in improvisation.
Overall this place was the perfectly peaceful place we needed on our travels home from Maine.
